Lauren Eirk, M.S., Founder of the Yoga Integrated Science™ Wellness Studio in Louisville and is a certified E-RYT 500 level Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance® with over 30 years of teaching experience. A Yoga Alliance® Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), she is the developer of the 200 Hour RYT training program, 300-Hour RYT Advanced Biomechanics of Hatha Yoga Programs, and the Yoga I.S. Mechanix™ program for her 500 hour Registered Hatha Yoga School Yoga Integrated Science™. Lauren is a Certified Yoga Therapist C-IAYT , the International Association for Yoga Therapy. Lauren is a Certified MATRx Full Body Specialist, making her one of 57 world-wide leading experts in the treatment of muscular Imbalances. She is an MAT Jump Start Instructor, a Mastery Level Resistance Training Specialist®, certified personal trainer, and an International Continuing Education Provider. She is currently preparing for her NASM-PT examinations. Lauren is a member of the Body Bar® Instructor Team. In her personal life, Lauren has a passion for animal rights and volunteers her time for The Humane Society in Kentucky. Lauren teaches in the Yoga I.S.® Louisville Studio and is the director of the 500+ hour RYS Teacher Training Program. She is available for Personal Training, MAT, and Yoga Therapy by appointment.

Mary Beth Armstrong, MS, LMT, LAc, NCCAOM Certified, Yoga I.S.® RYS 200 Hour Graduate
Yoga I.S.® is proud to have Mary Beth as an expert instructor in the 300 hour Teacher Training Program. Mary Beth Armstrong has been practicing acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Sag Harbor, NY since 1994. She is a licensed massage therapist through the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and holds licenses in California and New York. She is nationally certified by the NCCAOM. Mary Beth received her bachelors degree from Hunter College in New York City and her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. Upon graduation and moving back to New York, Mary Beth has been studying with Jeffrey Yuen, a 40th generation Taoist Priest, acupuncturist and herbalist. She has completed 2 year programs with him in Chinese herbs, Nutrition based on Chinese Medicine, stone medicine and advanced acupuncture practices in addition to many other topics including qi gong, feng shui, caring for hospice patients, essential oils and other topics not covered in any other acupuncture schools.
In addition to her acupuncture studies she has completed Level One in Cranial-Sacral work through the Upledger Institute, The Muscle Activation Techniques™ Specialist program, and 10 a Day Course in the Work with Byron Katie. She has also completed courses in Pranic Healing, Bach Flower remedies, Pilates, and the 200 hour Yoga teacher training with Lauren Eirk at Yoga Integrated Science™. Ashley DeVault, M.A., Yoga I.S.® 200 Hour RYT
Ashley holds a M.A in Organizational Leadership and Development from Gonzaga University, and a B.S in Business Administration from Sullivan University. Ashley is also an Innovation Technology Service Leader for a large healthcare organization, where she works closely with internal business leaders as they operationalize consumer technologies. Ashley is passionate about changing the face of healthcare and wellness by launching products and services that enhance the member experience. She is excited to share and expand her knowledge through teaching.
Cody Eubank, BA, NSCA-CSCS Personal Trainer, MAT™ Certified Specialist
Cody Eubank began personal training in 2004 after earning a B.A. in Finance from the University of Louisville and fulfilling the requirements of the National Strength & Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He joins Yoga Integrated Science™ with an interest in educating clients and correcting muscular imbalances, working as Muscle Activation Techniques™ Certified Specialist since 2007. As an avid weight lifter, Cody came to experience the benefits of MAT while working with Lauren in treating his back pain. In his free time, he enjoys working out and spending time with his wife, Jenny, an instructor at Yoga Integrated Science™, his daughter Molly, and his cat, Henrietta. Cody is available for MAT and Personal Training by appointment.
Jenny Eubank, MS, NSCA-CSCS, Registered Occupational Therapist, Yoga I.S.® RYT-200, Certified Personal Trainer
Jenny has a BS in Health and Human Performance and MS in Exercise Physiology at the University of Louisville. She is a certified NSCA-CSCS personal trainer, certified Pilates Instructor and a 200-hour RYT Yoga I.S. ® Graduate and is a 200-RYT from Yoga Alliance®. Jenny has been a ballet dancer for the U of L Dance Theatre Group for many years! Having completed coursework at Spalding University in Louisville, she is a registered in Kentucky as an Occupational Therapist. Her classes are filled with humor and creative sequences. Jenny specializes in Pilates, working with children, and using Yoga Therapy in conjunction with her Occupational Therapy skills in order to give her patients a high level of care. Jenny is the wife of MAT Specialist Cody Eubank, and a mother of both her daughter Molly and her kitty Henrietta.
Jill Fowler, BS, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga I.S.® 200-Hour RYT Instructor, Certified MATCS
Jill has a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, is a certified RYT-200 through Yogafit®, and a certified Personal Trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine. Jill graduated in September 2015 from the Yoga I.S.® 200 hour Program with Honors. She is a Certified Muscle Activation Techniques™ Specialist and MAT Jump Start Instructor. She has been dedicated to the health-related fields for over 15 years, working in a variety of settings including corporate fitness, hospital, senior and cardiac rehab, chiropractic rehab, special needs services, youth and adult personal and group fitness, as well as Yoga. Jill is the owner of Achieve Fitness, LLC., conducting in-home personal training services, neighborhood boot camp, small yoga classes, and elementary school circuit classes. Jill has a passion to bring families and communities together through social fitness group classes in order to help individuals of all ages achieve fitness goals and lifetime fitness habits. Jill joins the Yoga Integrated Science™ teaching staff with the goal of improving the confidence, health and well-being in others. Jill is also available for Muscle Activation Techniques™ sessions, private yoga instruction and personal training services by appointment.
Ann Grannan, 200- Hour RYT Yoga Instructor
Ann has been practicing yoga over twenty years and teaching ten plus. Ann is a 200 hour RYT certified in Louisville. She has practiced different styles of yoga including Bikram, vinyasa flow, yin, restorative, BowSpring with different teachers, including but not limited to Doug Keller, Judith Lassiter, Eric Schiffman and Gary Kraftsow. Ann enjoys learning and is certified to teach yoga to cancer patients with Tari Prinster. Her philosophy in yoga is do no harm and listen to your body. Ann has been a faithful student of Yoga IS since February of 2017 and will be teaching in the Yoga I.S. Studio.
April Henderson, BS, MAT™ Certified Specialist, NSCA-CSCS Personal Trainer, SPT
April Henderson received her Bachelor of Science degree from Asbury University in 2005 and will graduate from Bellarmine University with a Doctorate of Physical therapy degree in May 2017. She worked as a sport performance coach at Velocity until her brother experienced a severe back injury in a basketball game in 2009. After witnessing his incredible recovery, thanks to MAT treatment from Lauren Eirk, she pursued the field and became certified the following year. Since then she has continued her studies in physical therapy and is returning from a six month physical therapy internship at Oregon Health and Science Univeristy. Her emphasis has been working with acute and outpatient orthopedic patients of all ages. In her down time, April enjoys the outdoors, particularly rock climbing and bouldering. Her mission is to empower people to be informed and pro-active in their health. April is currently in Portland, Oregon finishing training for her Physical Therapy Degree. We hope to have her back in the summer of 2018!
Lisa Klein, MD, Yoga I.S.® RYT-200
Dr. Lisa Klein is proud to join the team at Yoga I.S.® She is a native New Yorker who has called Louisville home since 1992. Lisa completed her undergraduate studies and received her AB in Human Biology at Brown University in 1982. She then obtained her MD at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, in 1986. Following an internship in Pediatrics at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, she then completed a residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in NYC. Upon completion of her training in NYC in 1992, she and her family moved to Louisville. During her over 25 years in practice, Lisa has been on the faculty of the UofL School of Medicine, the UK College of Medicine and has been in her own private practice, Heart to Heart Pediatric Cardiology. She is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
A student of yoga since 2003, Lisa has been studying at Yoga I.S.® for over two years. She completed the RYS 200-hour teacher training program earlier this year and looks forward to teaching students in a group as well as one-on-one setting. When she is not seeing patients or doing yoga, Lisa enjoys playing the harp, creating mosaic art, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Robert, and their five adult children.
Donna O’Bryan, M.Ed, Yoga I.S.® , Level II iRest® Instructor
Donna is instrumental in the quest to bring Health and Wellness to others in the Yoga Integrated Science™ Wellness Studio in Louisville. Donna joins Yoga I.S ® with more than four decades of teaching experience, holding a Masters Degree in Health Education and a BA in Training and Development from the University of Louisville. Donna holds certifications in Integrative Yoga Therapy®, Yamana® Ball, and Hatha Yoga. She is a licensed HeartMath® Provider, specializing in Biofeedback and stress management. She is also a level II i-Rest® Instructor with her teacher, Richard Miller, specializing in Yoga Nidra and various restorative techniques. Donna is a faculty member of the Yoga I.S.® RYS 200 hour and 300 hour Teacher Training Programs. She brings over 43 years of study in the science of meditation, Interactive Yoga Therapy, Yoga I.S. Tai Chi Fusion, and Ayurvedic Self-Study to our Registered 500 Hour Teacher Training Program. Donna has a gentle, inviting style that draws in all levels of yoga students. John A. Patterson MD joins the Yoga I.S.® Teacher Training faculty as a guest speaker in our 300 hour program. He is Board certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine. He is a faculty member UK Department of Family and Community Medicine Saybrook College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences (Oakland CA) and a Senior faculty Center for Mind Body Medicine (Washington DC). He is certified by the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine Health Care and Society (MBSR) as well as the Physician Coaching Institute. Dr. Patterson is a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and Integrative Restoration Institute (iRest Yoga Nidra).
Kristen Payne, Yoga I.S.® RYT- 200 Instructor
Kristen holds an associates degree in Art and Applied Science from Jefferson Community College. She is a mom to an energetic three year old and has a passion to make people smile. Kristen comes to Yoga I.S. with a spunky personality and heartfelt soul. She likes to bring a mixture of zen and creativity to her classes so that any age can partake in them and leave feeling refreshed. Outside of class she loves to travel, cook, read and spend time with her family and dogs.
Stephen Reinhardt Yoga I.S. ® RYS 200 Instructor
Stephen Reinhardt was trained at the Pennsylvania School of Ballet, and went on to attend the Julliard School of the Performing Arts on full scholarship, where he studied under Anthony Tudor, Jose Limon and Martha Graham while minoring in Music. He spent his post collegiate years performing on Broadway, but ultimately decided to devote his energies to music where he collaborated with Stephen Schwartz, (Godspell, Pippin, Wicked), musically directing and conducting. He spent the next thirty years in Los Angeles where he was music director for the daytime dramas General Hospital and Days of Our Lives. During this time he began to study Hatha Yoga. He graduated in March 2018 from the Yoga I.S. ® 200 hour program. He now lives in Louisville with his wife and family while continuing to work for Days of Our Lives. Stephen has won three Daytime Emmys for his work and has been nominated in 2018 for his fourth!
Kathy Scheen, B.A., Yoga I.S. ® RYT- 200 Instructor
Kathy Scheen, Yoga IS RYT-200, has a BA in English from the University of Kentucky. A wife and mother of three, Kathy began taking classes at Yoga IS in 2013. Her experience at the studio inspired her to enroll in the Yoga IS Teacher Training Program in 2017. She finished as one of the top Graduates in our program and has discovered her calling! Kathy hopes to share her love of yoga with others, and help each student experience the wonderful, life-changing benefits of a healthy yoga practice!

Born in Burgundy, France, Eric is a certified 200 Hour Yoga I.S. ® Instructor and RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance®. Eric has a BA from the Universitẻ de Bourgogne where he specialized in English civilization and linguistics. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Latin to this day. He has an MA in French literature from the University of Louisville and specializes in market research. Eric now resides in Miami, FL and is spreading the word about our philosophy in yogaissoutheast. Raj Shah, B.S., MBA, RYT 200, Graduate Certificate in Holistic Nutrition
For Raj, the journey to yoga began in 2005 when he moved back to Louisville. Working in a family business, he began practicing yoga and pranayama (yogic breathing) regularly as a stress management tool. In 2009, Raj completed his 200 hr. yoga certification. With over ten years of experience teaching yoga both to large groups and private students, Raj also conducts corporate yoga classes at various businesses in Louisville.Raj’s primary style is Vinyasa Flow and he has taught yoga to people of all levels from beginners to advanced students. Raj is passionate about nutrition and the role of food and diet in disease prevention and management. In 2016, Raj completed a Graduate Certificate in Holistic Nutrition from American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) and in 2018, will complete the full Master’s degree. He has worked with clients on specific ailments, including cancer, autoimmune disease, and digestive disorders. Raj has also studied Ayurvedic medicine and has helped clients incorporate these basic practices and principles into daily living.
Jamie holds a Bachelors in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a Registered nurse with 22 years of nursing and management experience in mental and behavioral health. Jamie graduated with honors in 2017 in the Yoga I.S.® 200 hour teacher training program and is a Registered Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance®. In addition, she is has held a license in Zumba® Instruction since 2010 as well as a Mind/body certification with American Council of Exercise™ (ACE). Jamie has a passion for teaching others, and is constantly working to aquire more and more information to feed her interest in the knowledge of human anatomy. She loves to practice yoga but also enjoyes hiking and the great outdoors! Currently, Jamie is pursuing a certification in holistic nursing.
