This is a 2 day introduction to Tai Chi.
Saturday, 10/26/19 from 9-5:00 and Sunday, 10/27/19, from 9-4:00. This class may be taken alone, or as an elective for the 300 hour Certification Program.
In this 2 day workshop, students will get an introduction to tai chi covering the basic principles and the research supporting it. Students will learn and practice several beginner routines. We will be exploring how to integrate this practice seamlessly into a yoga practice. Students can expect to spend time in the classroom as well as the exercise studio.
Tai Chi is a self-healing system of slow, graceful exercises that combine movement, meditation and rhythmic breathing.
This practice is said to improve the flow of chi which is thought to prevent illness and improve well-being. This introduction to Tai Chi course focuses on the inner and outer beauty as well as the strength that comes from both yoga and Tai Chi traditions.
