RYS 200 Teacher Training Course Class One

Class one includes an introduction to Yoga IS, plus a brief history of yoga. Learn all about range of motion and the many theories about stretching. Learn basic neurophysiology and how muscles create tension. Foundational Yoga philosophy includes the Yamas and the Niyamas with the weekend ending in an exploration of the Ethics of a Yoga Teacher.
The Yoga I.S. 200 hour program, comprised of six courses, is approved to meet the Yoga Alliance 200 hour requirements. This program is for anyone who wants to learn about the system of Yoga to deepen their practice or become a certified yoga instructor. This program will cover the origins of Hatha Yoga, historical and scientific information on flexibility and range of motion, structural anatomy and basic mechanics of lower body, trunk and spine, upper body and cervical regions of the body, and a comprehensive analysis of various applicable Hatha Yoga Poses. This course will also include an introduction to the science of adjusting, how to incorporate yoga props, yoga philosophy and ethics, pranayama/ breathing techniques and meditation, general sequencing techniques, the business of Yoga, and a daily yoga practice. Several of the most influential Yoga Styles and methods will be introduced, analyzed, and directly experienced. If you are already a 200 hour instructor, you may take an individual class independently by registering for a single three day or four day course. To achieve your 200 hour and pay in full, you can register for the entire course and pay in full with a $450 discount built into the price. To achieve your 200 hour and pay for an auto-debit for six months, you must first visit the online store and click the contracts tab. Once this is complete, go to the 200-hr Teacher Training Tab and sign up for the course to enroll in the course.
