Mind-Body-Ball® | 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Elective

This is a 2 day workshop focusing on the use of stability balls and resistance balls in the studio.
Saturday, 04/06 – Sunday, 04/07, 2019, from 9:30-5:00 each day. This class may be taken alone, or as an elective in the Yoga Integrated Science 300 hour Teacher Training Certification Program.
About this class:
This 2 day workshop explores the use of stability balls and resistance balls in yoga and Pilates classes.
Attendees will learn why these balls are unique and valuable tools in the studio and when and why they should be used.
Learn how applying force based on goal, method, intentions, positions, timing, and resistance application changes an exercise. Understand how using these tools helps students experience their favorite poses in a whole new way.
We will discuss cuing students through the different balance and stability requirements of the ball. This workshop focuses on teaching you to help your students experience smoother transitions and added support in many familiar traditional Yoga and Pilates positions.
This class will also cover important cautions to be aware of. We will also be discussing the neuromuscular control issues some students might experience when using a stability ball.
This 2 day class combines ancient techniques with the science of modern exercise mechanics. Most of all, after this 2 day course, you can introduce your students to a whole new way of experiencing exercise.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels. Students will get hands on experience using stability balls and mini resistance balls. A detailed manual will be distributed for this training.
