Mind Body Ball

(10 hour elective credit) This workshop will detail the use of stability balls in yoga according to goal, method, intention, positions, timing, and resistance application . Along with the added balance and stability requirements of the ball, experience smoother transitions and in some cases added support in many traditional Yoga and Pilates positions.
Learn cautions and neuromuscular control issues with various Yoga asana and Pilates-inspired Positions and motions. Combining techniques from centuries ago with the modern day fields of exercise mechanics will enhance your mind-body practice and attract a wider variety of students, helping them to re-think exercise. Bring creative fun and new challenge to your Yoga practice.
Workshop: All levels using stability balls 1:1 We will also incorporate mini-balls 1:1.
You are welcome to bring your own props to the event for health concerns although they will be available for your use in the studio.

About the Instructor
Lauren Eirk, M.S., Founder of the Yoga Integrated Science™ Wellness Studio in Louisville and is a certified E-RYT 500 level Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance® with over 30 years of teaching experience.
Lauren is a former Master Trainer with Resist-A-Ball® and the author of the “Yoga with Resist-A-Ball®” Certification Course. Lauren spent over 15 years teaching stability ball education. Lauren is a Yoga Alliance® Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), the developer of the 200 Hour RYT training program, 300-Hour RYT Advanced Biomechanics of Hatha Yoga Programs, and the Yoga I.S. Mechanix™ program for her 500 hour Registered Hatha Yoga School Yoga Integrated Science™. Lauren is a Certified Yoga Therapist C-IAYT for International Association of Yoga Therapy®. She is a Certified MATRx Full Body Specialist, making her one of 57 world-wide leading experts in the treatment of muscular Imbalances. Lauren is a certified personal trainer, and an International Continuing Education Provider, member of the Body Bar® Instructor Team, and an influencer for Athleta® Brand Clothing. She is a Mentor for AFS, Association for Fitness Studios, offering guidance to other health and fitness entrepreneurs.
