While the benefits of meditation for physical, mental, and emotional health are well known, many find it hard to do or don’t know where to start. This 120-minute workshop will introduce you to the core foundations of mindfulness meditation in an engaging and simplified, yet powerful way. You will systematically build a home practice you can use in your very own life to improve your sense of self-awareness and clarity, and to help reduce your levels of stress and tension. Since most of us don’t have the option to go to a mountaintop, join a monastery, or set up shop in a tranquil cave for extended periods of time, why not learn how to use the skills and facilities you already have to transform your life into the one you want and deserve?
“A native of Louisville, Kentucky, I discovered meditation during a tumultuous time in my own life. I have been fortunate to have studied or been on retreat experiences with any of today’s most relevant teachers, and have over the past few years had the pleasure of teaching mindfulness and meditation to a wide range of students. The journey has been nothing short of amazing.”
“I am passionate about teaching meditation, as I believe all who are willing to try can benefit in transformative ways. My teaching style involves distilling a wide body of information and experience into a simple and easily applicable set of concepts and practices that my students can easily assimilate and use. I am, at heart, a pragmatist. For me, it’s about offering my students something they can readily and meaningfully apply within the context of the lives they are currently living (which is the only place any of it ever really works or makes sense anyway). I warmly welcome students at any level of experience to my programs.”
